Tibia Quest Guide

Pilgrimage of Ashes

Young adventurers often had difficulties in the past to find all sacred places in Tibia at which it is possible to be blessed. Furthermore, if they found the sacred places, they usually did not have enough money that the blessers require for their service. So many of them roamed the dangerous lands of Tibia unblessed.
To help them, the city guides of all cities have organised a special blessing round trip tour for all characters that are under level 25. They will now not only inform. young travellers about the where’s and what’s of blessings, but also, players that follow their tour will receive a discount prize and can get blessings for mere 1,000 gold pieces each!
If you have successfully completed the tour and return to the city guide with all blessings still being intact, you will be rewarded once more for your efforts. If you should not be able to return from this trip unharmed and have lost one of the blessings already, you will still receive a small reward from the city guide, so that your death was not in vain.
We hope that many young travellers will participate in this guided tour and will visit our blessers Edala, Eremo, Humphrey, Norf and Pydar.
This quest is not available on PvP-enforced servers.

Removing a Holding Tank is a Dirty Job

Last weekend Scott and I took the holding tank out of our boat. It is important to know that the “holding tank” is what holds all the contents of our marine toilet. It was huge, cumbersome, took up a significant amount of precious lazarette locker space and it needed to go. Once we’re in the ocean we won’t need it anyway, as ships are allowed to pump the contents of their toilets overboard. This is probably news to you non-boaters, and I’m sorry to be the one to give it to you, but yes, poop (even from cruise ships) is pumped into the ocean. Something about parts per million…

Anyway, in order for us to remove the tank I had to get into said locker with said holding tank in such a way that would have made a Cirque du Soleil performer blush. Seriously, any one that has ANY issue with claustrophobia has no business working on a boat. This is not the first time I have had to crawl into a compartment the size of a car trunk to do “work”. This was, however, the first time I had to crawl into a space that held, for lack of a better word, our “shitter”. Toxic level? We’ll give it a “3″. Disgust level? Off the charts.

Luckily, we’d had the tank pumped out before winter, so *most* of the contents had been removed. In order to get the tank out, I had to unhook two hoses (poop in, poop out). Remember, I am in a teeny tiny locker, it’s about 105 degrees in there, and it smells. Bad. I unhook hose #1, and it comes off clean. Phew. I adjust myself ever so slightly, wipe the sweat out of my eyes with my arm (not using my ecoli infested hands!), and go for #2. It comes off. Not clean. Out pours a couple cups of the most disgusting yellowy-brown lumpy liquid EVER. I scream. I bang around in the locker. Pound the tank with my screw driver. Scream more expletives. Basically, I throw a temper tantrum as best I can while contorted into a pretzel. This is NOT fun. In fact, it is downright disgusting.

Spice Things Up With 5 Unique Picnic Ideas

A picnic is one of the best ways to add excitement to any meal. Of course, if you’re looking for a truly different picnic experience, there are a number of unique ways to take your picnic to the next level. Interested? Then check out the suggestions below.

Night Picnics

As simple as it sounds. Just load up the picnic basket and set out after the sun goes down. A night picnic adds romance and excitement that can often be absent from day picnics. It’s also a great way to beat the heat during the summer. Of course, make sure to bring tiki torches or candles to illuminate your meal. Citronella candles are also helpful in fending off mosquitoes.

Water Picnics

Few things are as enjoyable as a picnic consumed while floating down a river or while in the middle of a lake. Grab a waterproof picnic backpack and fill it up with delicious food for your next boating adventure. Whether you’re yachting on the Atlantic or canoeing through a local bayou, a picnic on the water always hits the spot.

Urban Picnics

A picnic set amidst the concrete and bustle of a city is truly something special. Urban picnics can take place in a variety settings. Rooftops, balconies, and waterfronts are favorite destinations. Empty parking lots and the tops of parking garages are also cool spots to grab a bite and relax. It takes a truly creative person to create “nature” out of an urban landscape, so let loose your imagination and see where it takes you.

Winter Picnics

Just because the trees have shed their leaves doesn’t mean you have to keep the picnic basket in storage. As long as you have the proper gear and a willing companion, a winter picnic can be an unforgettable experience. A thermos full of hot cocoa or coffee will make it all the more enjoyable.

Mt Everest Adventure

High above sea level, towers the Earth’s highest mountain dividing both Nepal and Tibet. This mountain is known as Mt Everest in western culture named after Sir George Everest in 1865, the British surveyor-general of India. In Nepal Mt Everest is known as Sagarmatha meaning the goddess of the sky and in Tibet it is known as Chomolungma meaning the mother goddess of the universe.

Mt Everest is 8,840m high (29,029ft) and is the highest mountain above sea level. Arguably Muana Kea in Hawaii is debated to be the highest mountain at 10,200m (33,464) from its base however it is not considered the highest as it is only 4,205m (13,796 ft) above sea level.

In 1953 the first ascent was made by the courageous Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and other records started shortly after such as the first woman to climb the summit in 1975 by Junko Tabei and then the first solo climb in 1980 by Reinhold Messner.

Mt Everest is one of nature’s most challenging and most gratifying adventures. Once you reach the summit you will literally be standing on top of the world’s highest peaks. There are many safety concerns when considering climbing Mt Everest and your fitness should be a major factor. However even novices can complete the climb but comes at the expense of hiring shirpas to help you reach your goal.

Take a flight into Kathmandu and begin your ascent to the highest point of your life.
