St Martin Island and Its Exotic Beaches
St Martin, an island, is situated in the northeast Caribbean. The island is divided between France and the Netherlands whereas the Netherlands side has the Maximum population. It is one out of the four constituent countries which forms the Kingdom of Netherlands. Its French side is popular for its shopping, clothes, nude beaches and rich Indian and French Caribbean cuisine. The island’s Dutch side is popular for its exotic drinks made with local rum-based guava berry liquors, beaches, Jewelry, festive nightlife and ample casinos.
St Martin has total 36 beaches and each beach has its own atmosphere. Cupecoy Beach:
Sandstone rock faces give Cupecoy beach spectacular golden surroundings, unlike any other beach on the island. Sheltered from the wind, this beach is ideal the people who enjoy “baking” in the sun. Plummeting in the Caribbean Sea often or just lying on the edge of the rolling surf is suggested. This beach is St Martin’s semi-official nude beach.
Maho Beach:
This is the great place to stare the sunset, this “modest stretch of sand” is also just a few yards away from the runway of The Princess Juliana International Airport.
So, bring out your camera to capture the unforgettable moments! You will get this close to a landing jumbo jet nowhere else in the world. You can lounge on the beach, grab hold of some rays, and take pictures of the underbelly of a 747 just a few yards above your head. If you’re not quite that courageous, you can stare the planes take off and land at The Sunset Beach Bar; they are situated at the other end of horse-shoe shaped Maho Beach. This bar is a great place to hang out, listen to a number of tunes, and slurp down little frozen mudslides.
Dawn Beach:
This extensive white sand beach, near to a mile long, is back dropped by the spectacular green mountains of Dutch St. Martin. There is abundance of room to play a few paddle balls or toss a Frisbee. Its rolling waters are one of the best for snorkeling on St. Martin.
If you want to just unwind or relax and work on your tan, it’s effortless to find a place for a little peace and silence. Beach seating and umbrellas are offered all over the place on the beach.
